  Sometimes I get a vision of an overall mood of something that I want to make. When I get that vision, I have no idea what that vision will actually turn into, or what materials or pieces will come together to make it happen. The irony is that mood sometimes comes to me in a dream, or what other people call a nightmare.
  
  The nightmare jacket is really a manifestation of the mood of some wild dreams that I've had. I worked on it on and off, layer by layer, for a couple years.
  
  Yes, that's a snake head wrapped up in a casted jaw bone. Yes, those are casted snake vertebrae. Yes, those are cast prehistoric sharks teeth made into metal. Yes, that is crocodile and snake skin. And yes, those are claw inspired cast spikes.
  
  This little claw alien vertebrae spore pod thing that you see on the jacket wasn't planned. How could you possibly plan it? It is kinda like the way I used to stack bricks of lego starting with just one block; this whole scene just kind of splattered into existence. I like working this way because I never second guess a move that I have just made. If I don't like something that I've done, i just tear it up or rip it out, and apply another layer. It's just like letting your hands go and not really thinking about what you are doing. Sounds trippy right? Maybe there is some weird alien stuff going on. Frig I'm kinda spooked right now. Who's responsible for this?
  
  I definitely owe so much of my inspiration to H.R. Giger. His work is like a portal to the coolest underworld a mind could ever travel to. He came to this world and set the platform for a whole movement of creativity to lurk into. He set the bar so high, challenging so many to dig as far and deep into the dark side as they could. I will feel forever indebted to him. Without him, the nightmare jacket might not have ever come into existence.....
  
  I'd say we have pretty twisted minds. People think we are really nice, but there is a real dark twistedness deep inside of us. We don't often get to express it, but jackets like this are a palette for us to spray it all out all over the place. The nightmare jacket is a real tribute to a lot of what we find to be dark, evil and badass. In our minds, all of that combined equals sexy.
