  When you dig through piles of military surplus you smell blood, piss, sweat, and death. Its not pretty. I usually have a mask and gloves on, but it doesnt mask the reality. Piles upon piles upon piles of the clothing used in battles. Its not glamorous at all. Sometimes people wonder why i do it.
  
  Lying amongst the piles of war remanants are hidden gems, at least in my eyes. im not going to get into war and my thoughts on it, but i will say that i would love it if no war clothes ever existed. But they do.
  
  DIgging through all of the piles of miltary equipment and clothing can sometimes be overwhelming. Sometimes i wonder if the person survived that wore the clothes that im looking at. But when i get past that, i see the item for what it is. Millitary clothing is designed and constructed like nothing else. It is created to be durable and rugged to withstand the toughest conditions.
  
  What i hunt for in the piles and piles of military gear is not the stuff that is in good condition. I search for the stuff that is worn out and ripped and weathered and written on. It has so much more of a story to tell.
  
  For the LHM Korruption jacket, i started with a few different old worn out ripped jackets and started taking them apart. I reworked the sleeves and back panels and then started doing more ripping and tearing. i cut out a bunch of korrupt label patches and started stitching them all over and combining them with straps and rings and pockets off of gas mask bags and packs and vintage patches i pulled off other jackets.
  
  The result of my hours and hours and hours of work is a patchwork of military gear that tells a bit of a story.
